CTO for Internet Startup
at Stealth mode startup in Gurgaon, India
Innovative stealth-mode Internet start-up in a high-growth sector looking for a CTO/senior level developer to start web development work.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in software development and technical experience in Windows database environment or Linux enterprise servers in a multiple server and high availability environment.
Strong understanding and familiarity with Facebook & Twitter are required to build applications for these platforms and/or using its APIs. Also needs to have capability and understanding of building iOS and Android mobile applications.
Location: Gurgaon, India
Desired Skills & Experience
- Act as the lead developer in new development projects
- Ability to make the right technology choices for a new website
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced / multi-project environment
- Improve performance, scalability and stability of databases and
application processes
- Design, develop and maintain database objects (tables, views, stored
procedures) in SQL environment / Oracle DB
- Design, develop and maintain console web applications in .NET / Java
- Identify issues and improvements in software designs
- Automation of common database and application tasks
- Python / PHP / Rails
Qualifications:
- Understanding of project lifecycles
- Experience writing technical design and functional specifications
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of web development experience in writing multi-layer web
applications using ASP.NET 2.0 & 3.5 or Java
- 5+ years of SQL Server or Oracle database development experience
- Strong knowledge and experience with Linux / Unix and MySQL Database
- Strong knowledge and experience with PHP- Knowledge of .NET and SQL 2008 is a plus
- Strong Experience in Ruby, JavaScript, PHP, Python and/or other scripting languages.
- Experience with a compiled language, like Go, C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience debugging strange networking and kernel bugs
- Experience with Web technologies, like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Familiarity with programming for mobile platforms and/or other JSON APIs.
