Drupal - Lead developer for Web 2.0 platform
at What's Up Bharat? in Delhi, India
Who are we?
What’s up Bharat is a network and platform for connecting people who
want social change in India. It comprises the Jai Bharat Centre and
the Yuva Bharat Federation, and is located at One Hauz Khas Village in
Delhi and online at http://www.whatsupbharat.in.
What’s up Bharat’s mission is to create a physical and online platform
to unite artists, intellectuals and professionals focused on social
progress. To do this, it creates partnerships with socially conscious
and innovative organisations to develop content and programs that
promote freedom, inclusion and unity, in a way that is accessible and
attractive to all people, regardless of age, income or education.
These content and program activities are carried out online on the
What’s up Bharat social networking platform and on the ground through
events and activities at the JBC, in the form of a variety of useful
services including art, events, library, multimedia, polling, retail,
café, and various programs in tie-ups with our partners.
Job description:
Play a key role in developing an online portal aimed at empowering
the youth of India to connect with each other and engage themselves in
social issues in an accessible and productive way.
Write clean, well-engineered code that conforms to accepted
standards within the Drupal community.
Demonstrate excellence in theming or custom module development.
Coordinate with the CTO and designers to ensure timely delivery of
the project.
Skills Needed:
At least 2 years experience with Drupal
php expert
Worked with social api's like facebook, twitter
Previous experience in deploying apps on cloud like EC2 (Acquia in
particular)
CSS/Javascript expert, can use jquery, ajax comfortably
Working knowledge of SVN and GIT
[Candidates must be based in Delhi and available to work full-time
immediately]
Compensation: Competitive salary based on your skills and experience
(Minimum salary Rs. 30,000 / month)
