MyToday engineering teams exhibit high energy, deep technical skills and a drive to get things done. Our Engineering Managers need to be technical leaders and motivators who are comfortable leading these teams in a high-pressure and in dynamic environment.

The role: Technical Lead/Manager
As a Tech Leads/Managers you should be someone who can own and drive technical projects and provide leadership for a group of engineers in an innovative and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects. This position is not a pure management position; you are expected to contribute technically to the project. Our interview process will emphasize technical skills and management/organizational skills equally.

Responsibilities

• Engage in code reviews, resource estimation, architecture design, and production management.
• Schedule and run team meetings and moderate internal design discussions; general coordination of team development activities and integrating new engineers.
• Mentor and coach engineers, write peer feedback and participate in recruiting activities.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree like B.E., M.E., B.Tech, M.Tech or equivalent preferred in Computer Science (MBA is a plus).
• At least 6+ years experience (including 2 years of experience in leading and managing a team ).
• Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation and capable of “rolling-up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty”.
• Proven leadership ability, capable of motivating some of the best software engineers.
• Strong programming capabilities in at least few of the following: Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring
• Substantial knowledge of UNIX/Linux or Windows environments.
