Finance & Accounting Manager (India)

Facebook is looking for an experienced financial professional who can be a key contributor in a high-energy growth environment. The ideal candidate will be a top academic performer with at least seven years in a financial leadership role at a high tech global organization. This is a full time position reporting to the Director of Accounting in Palo Alto, and is located in our offices in Hyderabad, India.
Responsibilities
- Provide office administrative and financial support to the operational teams on the ground in India. This is a hands on role involving lots of cross functional cooperation
- Manage our outsource service provider responsible for India GL postings and reconciliation and accounts payable function, provide oversight and approvals in the process
- Manage quality of service and information flows from outsourced service provider in India ensuring these partners meet all internal FB quality standards and deadlines
- Perform month end close within prescribed deadlines for India and prepare reporting pack for US parent. This will include month end reconciliations and budget to actual analysis
- Responsibility for the processing of all accruals and prepayments required in relation to third party purchases within the month end reporting deadlines
- Production of monthly cost analysis reports for the India organization – supporting operational leadership on an ad hoc basis as needs arise
- Assist with improving, implementing and documenting processes and internal control policies and procedures
- Support various organizational requirements such as local audit and tax preparation
- Lead the charge for excellence in financial controls
- Other projects and initiatives as required
Requirements
- Highest standards of ethical integrity absolute priority
- Third level primary degree in Accounting or Finance
- Recognized accounting qualification, preferably Chartered Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- 3+ years relevant experience with Big Four and minimum of 3+ years with large, fast-growing, multi-national company
- Local regulatory rules change management experience
- Solid knowledge of local India GAAP and International GAAP
- Strong local, corporate and employee benefits taxes experience/expertise
- Related industry experiences a plus
- Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel (experience with Oracle an advantage)
- Excellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the “big picture”
- Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement
- Company Secretary designation a strong plus
- Local regulatory rules change management experience desirable
