Opera Software ASA is one of the world’s leading providers of web browsers on various devices, with 150 million monthly users. Opera’s browser for mobile phones, Opera Mini, is the world’s most used mobile browser, and we are looking for a Community Outreach Evangelist to build relationships with our fast-growing Indian user base. The candidate will manage Opera’s Education program in India, represent Opera in social media, initiate marketing campaigns and participate in relevant events. The candidate will work closely with the Communications Manager for India and the Education Manager.

Responsibilities – Work with corporate merchandise. – Maintain Opera’s social media presence and blog about Opera – Initiate and execute local marketing initiatives and localize global campaigns. – Coordinate our program of seminars in universities and manage collaborations with universities in India. – Recruit, manage and track our volunteer student representatives in the ‘Opera Campus Crew’ program in India.

Requirements – Relevant education, minimum bachelor’s degree – Ability to work independently – Strong communication skills – Extensive knowledge of web technology – Experience in social media and event/project management
