Job Description
As a Interaction Designer ( IxD) at Make My Trip.com (MMT), you will, as part of the design team deliver meaningful user experience for the organization’s customers. In eCommerce, user interfaces need to be launched on a daily basis. MMT has several Lines of Business (LOBs), each having a selling proposition of its own.
• There are several cross sell, up sell, & lateral sell aspects associated with our business. This will need to reflect in the designs which get developed by you. We expect you to have an understanding of these cross LOB strategies.
• Once the wireframes undergo formative testing & summative testing, you would also be expected to iterate the wireframes for the appropriate experiences.
• We expect you to have full understanding of aspects of Formative Testing, and we would also expect you to execute them on a regular basis. You would also need to assist the Deputy Manager (DM) with all the summative tests, as & when is required.
• We would expect you to have an understanding of 2 of MMTs reach out form factors – Desktops/ Laptops, & Mobile. It is expected that you understand the advantages, & limitations associated with both the form factors, and are able to develop distinct experiences, keeping the constraints of each form factor in mind.
• You would also be expected to understand the development effort and its constraints. We would expect you to have working knowledge of technologies such as CSS, HTML, & JS.
• Accommodating design aspects to cut down on latencies will be a big part of your design effort.
Desired Profile
• Degree in communications or other discipline related to the primary responsibilities and 2 - 4 years of experience in web design.
• Experience in working in a corporate environment with tight deadlines.
• Very good spoken and written English in order to design prototypes.
• Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
• Ability to work in a team and to communicate clearly to team members and peers.
• Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets.
• Knowledge of desktop applications.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, SQL, ASP/ PHP, Flash and Macromedia
